1. 2 weeks and the product does not arrive.

   Their delivery is confusing, the mail says that they are licensed by USPS, when one checks the tracking number it is from UPS. The UPS page says that they have only created the label and have not sent it, when I contact them they say that they have sent it... keep waiting. The page says that they receive it in a maximum of 5 days, more than 2 weeks have passed and this company does not provide a solution... totally disappointed...(John's reply: Enrigue, it was sent by UPS on Feb 8th and as we told you last week we would be happy to send another shipment if you didn't see it by the end of the week and let us know. Sounds like it hasn't arrived so we'll contact you by email to get another shipment sent. I'm glad we caught this email and will contact you. This is rare, but we want to get you taken care of regardless.)

4. Beginners Guide to Practice Chanter

   So I had an interest in learning to bagpipe. I did some research and found this site. Best site I have found for bagpipes and accessories. Everything from the practice chanter to replacement reeds for it and instruction book. Chanter is excellent, one thing I would recommend if you have not played pipes before is to get a tuner at the same time so you can practice right away hitting the right notes without developing any bad habits. Low G (basic first step) should be a G, not something close.

   I’m new to this instrument and not having a formal teacher has its hurdles but I’ve researched a lot on this and what should be a good a practice chanter. I ordered JHiggins’ practice chanter based on other’s reviews and I have to say that the chanter is solid and well made. I’m a trumpet player and I have never worked with a reed instrument before but YouTube is full of videos to help you get started and the notes of JHiggens’ chanter to me sound very similar to the videos but I’m sure a formal teacher will critique me more harshly lol overall I’m impressed with quality and solid feel of the chanter and reed and I hope I can do Mr.Higgin’s proud one day.

   I ordered the long practice chanter and a lesson book for my teenage son. We've had it less than a week, but so far, the book is guiding him well and the chanter appears to be a good quality. My ears aren't bleeding yet and the neighbors haven't asked us to move. This seems to be a great purchase!

   My order came in a timely manner. The chanter is great, has a good feel, and each note played is distinct. The tutor book is excellent, easy to understand and follow. I am very pleased with this purchase and extremely excited to learn the bagpipes. I highly recommend J Higgins

   Well..it sounds like a kazoo or a children's party favor..I am familiar with the notes of the chanter but no significant change in the tones when played...Paying 100.00 for chanter practice book and shipping was overpriced..Also, there was a 10 day hold on shipping because it was stuck in customs, so I was told. (John's tip: The practice chanter cannot change volume, but it will change pitch if the holes are covered properly. Our prices for pipe supplies actually made in Scotland are meant to be among the lowest price you will find. Unfortunately, this shipment was indeed held in customs for a few days).

    I just started , my instructor was impressed with the cost of this set and it is the essentials to getting started, wish it would have come with the carry case the Higgins offers, I would have paid the additional $20 for the case up front, fast delivery, came U.S. postal service.perfect for an adult toget started. Make sure you get the long version, Iit matches the chanter on the big pipes, you won't have to relearn your finger positions when you transition over.
