The Ezeedrone plastic drone reeds are one of the most popular plastic reeds we sell. This long version of Ezeedrone reeds helps pipers play a lower Bb pitch without drone extenders. Known worldwide, you will find these reeds to be durable and easy to work with.

I've used EZ Drone drone reeds for many years. I purchased the long reeds to attain a lower pitch for when I have to play funerals at temperatures that are 20 to 30 degrees below freezing. In trying them out, they have the same great sound; but the bass already has the bridle backed up as far as it can go and it still shuts off. Sliding one of my precious few hairs under the tongue kept it going while I played. Hopefully, as the reed breaks in with the hair in place under the tongue, it will not give me any problems. (John's reply: Stuart, you can actually flick the tongue open a tiny bit to help it relax, just like the old cane reeds, but do it carefully).

‘Ordered a set of these to use along with some slightly longish and fairly well made set of Pakistan drones bagpipes, added a high dollar A=440hz chanter - also ordered drone extenders. These longer version EZDrones dialed into 440 without the extenders and without any maladjustment and they sound great.
