Product Description
We make spats with either white or black buttons. Made from 100% cotton duck fabric for easy washing and cleaning, they're fastened with velcro with a functional top and bottom button. We make these in even shoe sizes 6 though 14 in regular (12" @ top of spat), wide (14" @ top of spat), and extra wide (16" @ top of spat).
The wide and extra wide price is $10.00 more than the regular sized spats.
Spat size information for women: If you are ordering for a lady, then please deduct 1 1/2 sizes from your ladies shoe size and order that size.
For example, if you wear a ladies 9 1/2 you would order a men's size 8. We will assume you have done that conversion and will send you the size you order.
NOTE: Top of spat is 10" up from ground and DOES NOT go over calf. Please state shoe size and button color when ordering. We recommend you go up one size if you're an odd numbered size (i.e. 9 fits our 10). Please view our video below for measuring tips:

Good quality spats, the buttons are also good quality. At a different vendor I had buttons so thin they would just crack in half.. not with these!! Plus I love that you could get your specific width so it fits perfect.

Big Button Hole

The spat material seemed thinner than my last pair. The lower bottom button hole on right spat was not completely sewn closed. I took a needle and tread and finished the job. My biggest complaint is that when I purchased my pair of spats they $45.00 and now the same pair are $35.00; baffling. (Owner's reply: Mr. Allman, sorry about the larger hole; glad you were handy with the needle and thread. Regarding the price, I believe you mean that we show a price of $35 on our site, and you question why yours were $45. This is because you ordered a 10 wide which is indeed $45. Our regular calf spats are $35).

These spats are very sturdy, heavy weight and well constructed. It is especially nice that they come in three different leg circumferences.

I didn't understand how to order the correct size of spats. I little more information on the web site would be helpful, although I also could have called and spoken to someone live about exactly how to do this. They arrived in 3 days, but were too small. I then did call to talk with someone. There were very friendly and helpful. They shipped the new (correct size) spats and I shipped the incorrect size back to them. Again, I got them in 3 days, and they are wonderful. Very good customer service and products.

I have 2 pair. I soak them in Dawn and Oxyclean. All the grunge goes down the drain! Easy on and off.

Well Made Spats

I've been using these for 4 years and just bought a back-up pair. We use black buttons in our band, and not a lot of suppliers have black-button spats. They're well made and lined. Follow the sizing instructions, they're spot on. Also follow the washing instructions. I wash mine by hand using a spray laundry pre-treatment (Shout), and a scrub-brush. Then a good rinse and line dry. When dry, I press with a steam iron and use a spray starch for a nice, crisp, white appearance.
