These reeds were the perfect match for our McCallum Cool chanters. They were consistently graded for strength and all of them were easily set up.

I have a set of Carbony Winds Carbon Fiber GHP and Chanter. Most other reeds do not work well with the chanter, there is no fix for the F. These reeds work perfectly for my chanter, are easy to set up and blow in. I use them in my Band Chanter (McCullan) and have rerecommended them to other band players who also have switched.

Ordered 2 Shepard pipe chanter reeds (easy) on 4/19/19 and received them on 4/22/19. Checked both of them and they sounded great. Needed no 'breaking in time'. Played one of them at pipe practice that night and was right on the mark. Nice !

Very happy with the way the reeds were shipped. As well very excited to work with these medium Shepard’s. I’m an easy kinda piper, going to see how the other third lives. Thank you Higgins for a shipment well done, and doubly excited that the Shepard’s are proving to be all and that much more !

Apparently, my Elliott Platinum reed was way too easy for me. This medium Shepherd reed is keeping me way too busy! I'll have to start ordering easy Shepherds. But, it does have a lovely, bright sound to it!
