Astounding Chanter
I got this as a replacement for my poly version of this. I am very impressed, the wood grain is gorgeous,and the timbre is wonderful and rich with great projection. The blackwood is easier to do birls with than poly since it doesn't "stick" like poly does. I played this with a Macphee reed and I won a competition playing this chanter. I highly recommend this chanter and J Higgins, The pricing, speed of delivery, and above all the wonderful customer service. J Higgins is by far my favorite piping and highlandwear supply.
