   I purchased 3 ties- modern, weathered and ancient in the MacKenzie tartan. All three come from Lochcarron mills in Scotland. The quality and color are excellent. Highly recommend.

   We are members of the Campbell of Argyle clan and I wanted him to have some items with the Campbell tartan to take with him to Edinburg. The tie and scarf were perfect. Nice quality!

   The ties are of excellent quality wool from Lochcarron. The stitching is nice and the lining make these perfect. I highly recommend them.

   Good quality wool, internal silk lining, fairy loop/label on back to tuck in the smaller end of the tie. Nice width, not too wide or narrow. Colors match my Bruce tartan vest perfectly. Great for the price.

   I purchased two of the ties - Armstrong ancient and Armstrong modern. Both are of high quality. The modern is a thicker blend so a different look. I purchased both to see which one I'd like better, but I'm keeping both!

8. MadDuff Dress Tartan Tie

   I ordered 3 tartan ties. The MacDuff Dress arrives today, along with the MacPherson Modern.
   The fabric in the MacDuff was course and thin, not even feeling like wool. I'll keep it!
   
   All the other Tartan ties I've gotten from J. Higgins seem to have either thick fabric or a thick lining that make the tie hard to tie. Maybe a lighter weight would make for a better tartan tie.
   
   Still, these are about the best Tartan ties on the market! (John's reply: Larry, I can assure you all the tartan ties we sell are 100% wool imported from Scotland. I suppose that, due to their weight, they might be harder to tie than a silk tie, but sometimes you have to suffer a bit for your Scottish tartan fashion :)
