Product Description
Mister Antony's Bandspec raincape comes complete with matching pouch and hood.
Made from superior quality wrinkle-resistant oxford weave polyester fabric with a matt finish.
All body seams taped & sealed -100% waterproof guaranteed.
Specially developed & tested by P/M Robert Mathieson (House of Edgar Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band (Retired) - Grade 1 World Champions.
Unique new features never before incorporated into any bandsmans raincape.
Non-slip patch, special pockets for storing hat & drumsticks, special stud fastenings.
Comes in extra small (29 - 33) small (34 - 38), medium (39 - 42), large (43 - 47), extra large (48 - 52) and 2XL (53+).
Here are the dimensions for each size:
EX SMALL
To fit normal chest size 29" - 33" ( 74cms - 85 cms ) / back length 42" ( 107 cms )
(Extra Small is a good juvenile size for ages around 8-11- no taller than 5’1”)
SMALL
To fit normal chest size 34" - 38" (86cms – 97 cms) / back length 47.5” (120 cms)
(SMALL is a good size for slim adults/juniors with heights from 5’1” to 5’7”)
MEDIUM
To fit normal chest size 39" - 42" (99cms – 107cms) / back length 49.0" (124 cms)
(MEDIUM suits most adults of medium build with heights up to 5’11”)
LARGE
To fit normal chest size 43" - 46" (109cms – 117cms) / back length 49.5" (126cms)
(Suitable for adults up to 6’ 3” in height)
EX.LARGE
To fit normal chest size 47" - 51" (120cms – 130cms) / back length 49.5" (126cms)
(Suitable for adults up to 6’ 3” in height)
EX EX LARGE
To fit normal chest size 52" - 55" (132cms –140cms ) / back length 49.5" (126cms)
(Suitable for adults up to 6’ 3” in height)
Please note that the normal chest sizes detailed above are over shirt or sweater only.
A generous allowance is made during manufacture for wearing over jacket/uniform.
Folding & Care Instructions for your Mister Antony Raincape
There are various acceptable methods for folding the raincape neatly into its pouch. Rolling into a ball & stuffing it inside is not one of them!
We recommend the following:
- Lay the raincape down flat, the right way up with collar pointing to the right.
- Fold the whole raincape inside out bringing the four front edges of the coat & top-cape to lie on top of each other. Pleat the top-cape neatly inside the coat.
- Fold the skirt of the coat neatly over the front edge, then fold the raincape completely in half so the collar lies at the hem. The folded raincape will now be lying in a long rectangular shape.
- Fold the rectagle shape 3 times into 1/3rd size & then fold once in half. The raincape is now ready for inserting into the pouch.
- If required a warm steam iron on the top-side of the fabric will eliminate any creases.
- When not in use, always hang the raincape on a peg or hanger. Use the pouch for short periods only & never use when raincape is damp or wet.

This rain cape is sturdy and will certainly hold up in the rain while keeping the pipe bag (and me) dry. I thought there were sleeves but the cape is large enough to cover your arms if you order the correct size. Another quality product from J Higgins!

My only complaint is that it is definitely larger than their size chart indicates. Almost sent it back for something smaller, but overall it works. I followed their size chart exactly

I was very impressed with the cape. My first Mr Anthony was bought at the Cowal Games in Dunoon Scotland. This new cape has great features and is of high quality. The price makes it frugal. I didn't think I could afford a good cape, but this is it.

Tested the cape in a driving rainstorm. Kept everything completely dry. (No rain down the collar even.) Well made (sealed seams, rugged quality material and closures, convenient pockets). Looks great. Unreservedly recommend it!

This is a quality product. It keeps me dry and the cape is roomy enough to accommodate the pipes, while the non-slip patch holds them securely in place. The deep pockets are great for all the paraphernalia that is needed when playing a gig. Weather can change unexpectedly so I make sure it's with me anytime I perform.

The Cape is more like a coat. Many flaps to cover bag pipes. The Cape came in a very nice pouch. The seams are very secure. I am sure I will be staying dry from here on out.
