Our premium quality ghillie brogue shoes. Made in the traditional style using economically and environmentally friendly simulated rubber with rubber soles. Our shoes come in half sizes and an adjustable width using the tightness of the laces. Order in your American size and we will send you the British equivalent (i.e. if you order an American 10 we will send a size 9). All of our ghillie brogues are made with a metal heel cleat that is covered by a thin layer of film which will wear off after the first wearing. This increases the lifespan of the shoe and is part of the traditional way of making ghillie brogues.
For Women's Sizing: We recommend that you deduct 2 1/2 sizes from your ladies size and order that size. For example, if you wear a ladies 9 1/2 you would order a size 7. We'd appreciate a comment on your order noting that you have done this conversion.
- Important Note -
Please try on for size while walking on carpet. Unfortunately, we cannot exchange shoes that show signs of wear. Shoes worn for any purpose other than initial trying on for size, while on carpet, cannot be exchanged. These simulated leather ghillies are discontinued and the sizes listed are what we currently have in stock.

These are great...would suggest thinking about the thickness of your hose, I ended up going 1 size up l. I also have very wide feet so I needed the width.
One other mention the rubber soles are slick with no tread Im adding some no slick tape to the ball area of the sole. I just dont want to end up taking a flying lesson with my pipes. -

As SAMS member, I use these for parades & color guard functions many times a year. Although I have more costly brogues, these are more comfortable to wear all day. They are easy to clean. The price cannot be beat. As a long time customer of J. Higgins, the service is always first class. I highly recommend these to someone wanting a good marching brogue or on a tight budget.

This is my first pair of Ghillie Brogues. They arrived fast (less than a week during a holiday weekend), fit comfortably. They look great, feel to be built well, and are half the price of other Ghillie Brogues. I wear an 11.5/12 so I got a size 12 due to the kilt hose and they fit great.

The shoes were great, but I made the mistake of ordering my normal shoe size. With the thick socks, they were just a bit too small. I called J. Higgins on their customer service phone line, and was immediately connected to a live person, who arranged a priority shipment of a larger pair of shoes to go out next day while I returned the original pair via normal post. Shoes arrived promptly and in plenty of time for my event. As I said in the title, the shoes are excellent, but I was most impressed with the level of customer service. Great job!

These are the first pair of ghillie brogues that I've bought so maybe I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, but I thought that these were very comfortable and looked great! I would give them 5 stars if they came in wide sizes and had more tread for cold/icy weather.

I am very pleased with my new gillies, and the quick response. I ordered on Friday and the shoes were on my door step on Wednesday. The appearance is very nice. I just wore them this Labor Day weekend at the Pleasanton, CA Highland Games comfortable and my feet did not hurt at the end of the day.
