This McCallum bagpipe is normally in stock in standard style, ready for immediate shipment. If not in stock, we will contact you with a delivery estimate.
The plastic (Black Acetyl) McCallum bagpipe is perfect for beginners. Standard equipment includes plastic pipe chanter, synthetic non-zip bag (Canmore or Bannatyne), cane pipe chanter reed, Shepherd old style drone reeds, corduroy or velvet cover, wool or silk cords.
All McCallum pipes are backed by their 10 year, no quibble guarantee. We offer free layaway plans on our instruments and other big ticket items so please email admin@jhiggins.net to inquire. Pipes can be ordered "sticks only". Your price will be changed automatically when you choose those options.
Important Product Note: All bagpipe bags can develop mold and fungi with regular use if not cleaned and disinfected properly. This can lead to chronic inflammatory lung disease. Please take careful precautions to ensure your bag and blowpipe are cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis to prevent mold and fungi from developing.

My son likes and plays these very much. They are quality. They sound great. Nice and loud as in earplugs needed. Notes come out right. These agree well with his carbon fiber MG drone reeds from UK previously purchased in our attempts to make a cheap Chinese set somehow workable. Based on that learning experience we did much research and correctly decided on these bagpipes which turned out to be most excellent like the ones reviewed on YouTube.

When you order an item such as this, you look for the highest quality. J. Higgins offers just that. I did not need a complete set of bagpipes and they were more than accommodating to get me what I needed. I was like a kid at Christmas when they came. They were very well packaged and took me longer to unwrap than to assemble.....not that I minded. When my son is ready for his own pipes, I know where I'll be going.

I love the Higgins store and the products are top of the line. The drone reeds [I upgraded to the ezeedrones] weren't installed for me, but I saw that as an opportunity to learn and become more familiar with assembling and replacing reeds in my new pipes. They are heavy, solid and built to LAST. Pipes sound like a macmillion bucks. I also chose the solo chanter btw.
John Higgins provides impeccable service, communication is prompt, informative and strictly professional. Very happy. I'll be back for all my future piping needs. Thank you. -
