This Duncan MacRae reproduction bagpipe is made from African Blackwood and features MacRae engraved alloy ferrules, slides and ringcaps with imitation ivory projecting mounts, and an imitation ivory and engraved alloy mouthpiece, and a plastic chanter without sole. It is backed by a 10 year warranty on the pipes and a 2 year warranty on the bag.
McCallum bagpipes has teamed up with the legendary piper Stuart Liddell to reproduce the exact dimensions of his original Duncan MacRae pipes.

John started piping in 1969. He climbed the ranks to become an Open class professional piper. He is a 4 time US Open champion and also won just about every major Open contest in America and was P/M of a grade 1 band. He also competed around the Scottish solo circuit picking up prizes, and played in both the Silver Medal and Gold Medal competitions in Oban and Inverness, figuring in the price list on a few occasions.

I've been playing X brand for a while. Every make of pipe has a different tone, reed dependant of course, but the tone, blend, and overall make of these pipes it great. I had to redo the tenor tops to put the middle top on the middle but service was fast and professional
